ARTIST PROFILE

I am a Indian-Canadian artist living in Vancouver, I am compelled to use art to showcase emotions of people from different walks of life. While India infused values in me such as kindness, love and humility, Canada gave me the strength and courage to be who I truly am and opened my eyes to vibrant cultures around the world. As a child I quickly noticed that my art was subjected to society’s approval and acceptable framework. To me art cannot exist without freedom of expression, and so I had given up on it. In 2016 I rediscovered myself through art and gained a new found confidence. I have been studying art and learning techniques on my own, and I am on a journey to showcase raw emotions, the beauty that surrounds us, and the depth that defines us.
